The proximity of the Café de la Poste to the barn will allow activities to be grouped and made more dynamic in conjunction with the cultural space programme, which will be held in the heritage part of the site. A low, glazed extension linking the two buildings will form a complex that complies with the historic village’s rules for the design of buildings. Preserving the grove of trees and its canopy will be effortlessly integrated into the external landscaping. The new hall will be built on the same site as the existing one. Visible from the junction as a major public cultural building, it will sit opposite the two religious buildings. The main space will rise above a low peripheral structure, evoking the special features of its configuration: a large, tall hall surrounded by numerous service areas. In keeping with the expected flexibility, its area and volume have been designed without any distinction between the hall and the stage. The design of the spaces and the technical features will allow the desired versatility to be achieved.
