It is lower than other buildings in the surrounding area, which makes it stand out more. The activities programme is in a separate building. The proposed tower is unusual in its layout, taking up less ground space and progressively decreasing in size as it rises from the ground.
The design of the ice rink features rounded, curved and homogeneous façades, providing a covered perimeter around the building. This space deepens in front of the main entrance, signposted facing the Lancy-Bachet esplanade.
The organisation of the ice rink’s premises is structured around two rinks side by side at the same level to allow better synergy in the use of areas that need to be close to the ice. This also allows better organisation of the programme on each floor of the ice rink.
Land use is brought together under a single structure through the superimposition of architectural programmes. This design aims to optimally preserve open ground areas which are reserved for planted exterior layouts favouring small islands of greenery.
